What exactly is required to get this to work... any software... one time payments for anything or do you just plug it in to your computer and make the calls? Also how do you actually call someone with it?

Nope just plug it into a usb port in your computer and it will download into your computer. It also has been paid for 1 year all you got to do is change your name on it and do a phone number lookup to your area...

You plug your phone line into it just like you plug it into the wall to get phone service.. I have 2 of them and don't need this one and it's only 19.95 a year.. go onto magic jack .com and you will see how it works..
