No its green. I've heard the soil determines some of the redness. There are just red and just green plants also. Some say there is no difference in flavor.

I live in Mass.when I was young for 5 yrs and I miss that tart taste , I really really want this !!! Psssst.

A generous amount, sorry I don't count them, Personally I have three well established plants and that gives us more than enough to eat and preserve. If I had to guess I would say about fifty seeds,
