PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION!!!!! This ring is a prime example of deception. It is marked .925 for sterling silver. However, THIS RING IS NOT SOLID STERLING IT IS PLATED, meaning it cannot be resized to my knowledge. It is a size 7 so I have been told. Sterling more than likely plated over brass I'm not sure of the EXACT base metal I am guessing. It is still a beautiful ring but I cannot wear it because I would have needed to resize it as well as metal allergies. The other issue with this ring is that the four prong setting is warped creating a loose stone setting that can be repaired by your local jeweler. It does have a nice sized lab created mystic topaz with man created fire opal down the side. From what I understand a topaz is heated to a certain degree to create the mystic topaz's color. I CANNOT GUARANTEE THIS IS A GENUINE TOPAZ. I also do not know where it was made or who made it. The bottom of the ring a small area exposes the fact that it is PLATED. THIS RING is SILVER PLATED NOT SOLID STERLING. still a nice ring but one that I can't wear because of metal allergies as well as sizing issue. Questions to ask when bidding on sterling are is it plated or solid sterling? What markings does it have? Does it have a makers mark? Are the stones real or manmade?
