YOU ARE BIDDING ON A MIMOSA LIVING SEEDLING
At least 10" tall in a 4 " pot. Do not want to disturb the root system this time of year. [must pay shipping]
History
The mimosa tree originally is from Asia. It was first introduced into the United States in 1745 and during the 18th century it was grown primarily as an ornamental plant.
Look up Bonsai type plants. This is absolutely a candidate for making Bonsai. Give it a try!

Habitat

The Albizia julibrissin grows well in U.S. Department of Agriculture hardiness zones 6B to 9B, primarily from California east across the southern states. It prefers to grow in full sun and tolerates a wide range of soil conditions. Although it is drought tolerant, it has a healthier deep green color when watered.

Features

The mimosa tree is a fast-grower and can grow to a height of 15 to 40 feet, and may spread as much as 25 to 35 feet. It has oblong green leaves that are less than 2 inches long. This tree produces fragrant puffy pink flowers from late April to early July. The life expectancy of the silk tree is 10 to 20 years.

After 20 years of trying to grow this tree in Zone 7, I'm thinking I don't want to try again. Wow. Mimosa trees are among the most beautiful (Jagarunda is another). The Mimosa flower is sweet like gardenia or jasmine. If you have the space I highly recommend everyone try this beautiful tree. They leaf out late--Note.

My girlfriends husband is into bonsai. I'll see if he'll grow one for me. My last (20-year) attempt was horrible. In the ground, in a pot, facing north or south; it didn't matter. The only thing I didn't do was try to grow it in the house. Our neighborhood has a hug Mimosa tree, also our community college. The best smell. I have an old fragrant rose called Fragrancia. The only one of 20 plus that I kept.
