Copper coins are 3 grams. Zinc coins are 2.5 grams. I made a scale out of a paint stick that only drops if the coin is copper.

Unfortunately none of the attribution sites list any 1982-s doubled dies. There is definitely something going on there... It's just hard to tell what. Interesting coin though. G/L with the auction.
