The listing, Roman Society has ended.
This is a Second Edition book, it was revised from the first Edition to include important scholarship and archeological work. It is a broad synthesis of Roman Society in the context of Roman History from its Etruscan roots to the collapse of the Western Empire. New coverage from the first Edition includes discussion of the origin of Roman coinage, importance of symbols in Roman society, the patronage system and social aspects of army organization and recruitment, also Roman education. There is a couple bent corners at the upper right pages, the cover has got crease and bends forward at the bottom right corner about 1/8 of an inch, saturated with side notes, top notes, bottom notes and massive highlighting. I could read it okay still............... didn't bother me any when I went to reread it. Its a very interesting book and if you are researching Roman Society you could use the notes. But if you have a problem with highlighting or notes, I wouldn't bid. Lol! Its a great book though..... doesn't bother the read........ but I'm not sensitive to it.
