We used to live in Johnson City, TN and sometimes when driving to Bristol, VA to visit my mother in law the race would be going on or people were getting there and the traffic was horrible. It was pretty cool though! This was in the '90's.

if ya thought it was loud outside you should try it on the inside with bleachers all the way around the track I would venture to say its the loudest track

Back in the 80's we used to go to the Saugus Speedway out here in CA. That was loud but most likely not near as loud at Bristol. Guess that's why everybody uses earplugs! I didn't care for Rusty Wallace till the end -- was a Jeff Gordon fan.

Not really into Nascar anymore but do like Jimmie Johnson, Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin and Jr. too. I know, I know, not too many Jeff Gordon fans in the south. I'm a major Laker fan and that's the extent of the sports I watch anymore. Dirk Nowitzski is from Wurzburg and I lived there for two years, where my first two sons were born. Also like Steve Nash. Are you into NBA?
