It's a stretchy wrap, and is probably fine for a back carry, but you will get a lot more stability out of a woven.

Moby has a lot of wonderful uses, but as far as I have researched about it as back carrier, your baby could fall out of it cuz it's stretchy. I had it and I know you have to tighten it up once in a while. Easy to notice when used in the front but probably not in the back. Be safe :)
