The listing, Black Bamboo has ended.
Auction is for 6 seeds. Phyllostachys nigra. With jet black culms and feathery green leaves, this is perhaps one of the most sought after bamboo. Under ideal conditions Black Bamboo will grow to 35 feet in height with culms over 2 inches in diameter, but 25 feet is its average height in most climates. I use the paper towel method to germinate these seeds.
Use a regular size bottle of water and add a capful of hydrogen peroxide to the water. Sprinkle a paper towel with the water until it's just wet. Squeeze out excess water. Open the paper towel and lay it out on a flat surface. Put your seeds on the paper towel. Fold the paper towel in half and then in half again and place in a ziplock bag. Date the bag. Keep it in a warm place, at least 75F. Check in a few days. When they have sprouted you can transplant to small pots.
You will have 8 days to verify your address or they will go back up for auction and you will lose your credits. Please don't forget to leave feedback so I can leave you feedback. If you wish to have a tracking number and a bubble envelope, message me and it will be $2 through PayPal. Otherwise, I pack my seeds wrapped in foam sheets so they will arrive safely. Any problems, please contact me before leaving feedback. Thanks and happy bidding!
