The listing, Star Ruby Ring has ended.
14k white gold star ruby ring approx size 5. It is a very small ring- you could use if for a pinkie ring, if you wish, I am having a hard time getting a good picture of it and can use some photographic tips. It has the tiniest diamond chips Like I said, it is a very tiny ring, but beautiful
Questions & Comments
ok so could u try taking another pic of it closer?? what y mean star ruby?? it's girls ring right!?
I did the best I could do with the picture at this point. Hopefully, I will get some tips or figure out a better way to take a picture. A star ruby is a cabachon ruby that has a natural star. Some of the rubies are man made and some are natural. This is rather small so I can't tell. It is genuine gold and diamonds. Sorry about the terrible picture.
Yep, take a picture outside. In the daytime, using no flash. You will be surprised at how much of a difference it makes! Use the macro setting if your camera has one, usually represented by a tulip or other flower. Lastly, if you do get a few good ones contact Listia to have them added. You can't add pictures after there has been a bid placed, unless a Listia moderator does it for you I will put it on my watchlist for now! Ruby is my birthstone. THE BIRTHSTONE FOR JULY EVERYBODY!!!! I have one that looks very similar to this (as far as I can tell) but it's yellow gold and I prefer white! GOOD LUCK :)
actually a linde star isn't natural it's man made and a natural star is just called a star ruby or sapphire or whatever its in and if the bottom of the stone has a L then it's a linde that's only one that will be marked and natural star will not be marked at all on bottom sorry but had say something about the linde cause she made it like all natural stars are linde and the natural ones are lil rare but linde stars aren't rare because there man made so ya
Actually, I don't believe this is a Linde Star as there is no "L" on the bottom and if it is, the stone is too small to see. I know that there are natural stars and diffusion treated stars as well. Appreciate all the comments and helps. This stone is too small the ring itself is between 1 and 2 grams. Any pictures make it appear larger than it is. It is a star ruby which you can see the star clearly outside. Beyond that I do not know.
ok do u have a flash light!? if so hold ring stil and shine the light down on it to make the star appear and move the flashlight around and see if the star stays in one spot no matter where the light shines on the stone or if the star moves when light moves cause real star moves with the light and is awesome an please make sure when responding to tap on the message ur wanting to respond to and that will reply to that person and email them that u replied to them tha ks so much!!
Hope I was able to respond to you personally, Lucky. I am new at this. Yest the ring does show a star and the star moves to wherever the beam shows on it.
jeli is so right !! natural light and the macro setting if your camera has it (most do these days). the icon that means macro is the little tulip thingy. should do the job, also press the shutter slowly, so the camera has time to focus. nice little bobble ya got there.
