The listing, "Whiting & Davis" Sterling Silver Bracelet has ended.
This is a lovely (hate using that word all the time!) famous maker bracelet. It is sterling silver with the maker's mark on the inside. It is a solid style with a hinge and a push-in clasp which also has a safety chain attached. It is not overly decorative but what is unique is the decorative parts are sitting on top of the bracelet and the piece that is in the middle is an abalone shell in an oval shape. The outer part of the necklace is brushed sterling except for the decoration. The diameter is approximately 7 1/2". I think it is quite elegant looking. To understand more about this necklace, you need to check out the Whiting and Davis History: http://www.whitinganddaviscollection.com/pages/cfWhitingAndDavisHistory.cfm. This again was one of my mother's bracelets. I don't know the value but my mother never bought 'cheap' stuff. She was a stylish dresser and believed that if you bought something that was well made that it would last as long as she wanted it to and she would pay more for the best brands.
