I forget how old your daughter is CJ. But they do reach a point where they do not want to miss out on what is going on so many kids will themselves to stay awake. From the time my kids were little we started a quiet time. (stopped calling it nap time) and they had to lay on their beds for an hour and read a book or play with a small toy. But had to stay on their bed. It would take a week or two to established, but even to this day if I tell my older kids it is quiet time they know exactly what I mean and everyone shuffles off to their rooms. Best thing I ever did for my mommy time. Don't know if that will help you at all, but an idea, lol.

I have a son who would not sleep unless he had a blanket over his face. It was hillarious. He would be awake forever if we forgot to put the blanket over his face, but as soon as we did he was out like a light.

@cj I began to homeschool Aubry in second grade. We took her out of school after the first grade- she was 7. Gavin has never been to daycare or any kind of public school, he is 5 and at the kindergarten level.
Wine time is golden. And my hubby doesn't stick around for whine time, so I guess that's why I whine so much on here lol Otherwise I'd have no one to whine to. I also must have my dark chocolate time. But that only happens when I actually have it in the house!

I want to go to the movies! I still want to see Pirates.

I am stuck here at the house without a car - again. I am about ready to rip my hair out and climb the walls. The kids fight over EVERYTHING. I think I might make bubbles today for them or something. The other day Greg found some huge black widows in our garage. He squirted them with poison and we've been observing them under the microscope and magnifying glass since then. Gives me the heebie jeebies! Greg was trying to position one of them on a paper towel and apparently there was still some silk coming out of it that caught on the prod he was using. That made it move, and I've never run so fast in my life!! LOL

A couple years ago we had a spider that would build a huge web on our front porch. And like the good homeschoolers that we were instead of killing that spider right away (which was my first instinct), we spent a couple weeks studying webs and we would stay up at night and watch it make its web or get up early in the morning and watch it take it down in the morning. We used the web to make art projects and lots of things. It was one of my favorite learning experiences. And we even let the spider live, but we moved it to a different location after a couple of weeks and the neighbors asking why we were leaving these huge webs up. They were really large and amazing webs it built.

@LeeLee - the boxes ONLY mean that you agree with the comment -- there is NO credit or XP given for that. A lot of people have been going around clicking them to "give credit" (which is does NOT) and it has become a kind of spam. That may be why Listia took out all the pluses.

I have already forgiven her the first time she said sorry:) And I forgive you too berries:)

((((GREAT BIG HUGS TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!))))

I don't like or agree with drama, tall tales, bullying, ect. & just will not participate in any of that kind of stuff. That's just not how I roll.

And I hope whatever speedbumps arise in the future, that we can tackle them with compassion, dignity, & respect.

I hope this shows how strong we can be as a group who REALLY CARE about one another & how with unconditional love & compassion & understanding, anything is possible!!! <3

Our lil swap family is such an AWESOME group~ we ALL have made mistakes, yes, even big ones, so we should not judge others' mistakes. I am so PROUD of how we are all learning & growing & sharing our sorrows & triumphs together & it means SO MUCH to me to be a part of it:) This is what true friendship is all about.

This is a VERY POSITIVE & WONDERFUL thing!!!
And I feel very Blessed to know each one of you & to be learning right along with you!

Ok I found this and found some humor...I hope others might find atleast one to be funny :)
Read the label first! (Some actual product warning labels):

On the bottle-top of a (UK) flavoured milk drink -
AFTER OPENING, KEEP UPRIGHT. (duh!)

On a New Zealand insect spray -
THIS PRODUCT NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS.

In a US guide to setting up a new computer -
TO AVOID CONDENSATION FORMING, ALLOW THE BOXES TO WARM
UP TO ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE OPENING.
(Make sense...except these instructions we're IN THE BOX!)

In some countries (like W. Virginia:), on the bottom of Coke bottles -
OPEN OTHER END.

On a Sears hairdryer -
DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING.
( Now THAT I'd like to see! )

On a bag of Fritos -
YOU COULD BE A WINNER! NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. DETAILS INSIDE.
(The shoplifter special!)

On a bar of Dial soap -
DIRECTIONS - USE LIKE REGULAR SOAP.
(And that would be how?)

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on BOTTOM of the box)
* DO NOT TURN UPSIDE DOWN.
(oops...Too late! You lose!)

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding -
PRODUCT WILL BE HOT AFTER HEATING.
(Are you sure? Let's experiment.)

On a Korean kitchen knife -
WARNING KEEP OUT OF CHILDREN.
(Dammit! Who are they to tell me what to do with my kids?)

On a string of Chinese-made Christmas lights -
FOR INDOOR OR OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
(As opposed to what...use in outer space?)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts -
INSTRUCTIONS - OPEN PACKET, EAT NUTS.
(I'm sure glad they cleared that up.)

On a Swedish chainsaw -
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STOP CHAIN WITH YOUR HANDS OR GENITALS.
(What kind of consumer phone-call led to this warning?)

On a child's superman costume -
WEARING OF THIS GARMENT DOES NOT ENABLE YOU TO FLY.
That's right, destroy a universal childhood fantasy!)

Oh my goodness. Reading my emails trying to gget caught up, Apparently my sister was in a funny mood one day and sent me lots of forwards...So Im going to share them...and I hope these make yinz laugh (or chuckly) like i havebeen as I read them. It seems we all have kids, grand kids, nieces or nephews so I think we all can like this one :

Mommy Dearest!
As I was trying to pack for vacation, my 3-year-old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point, she said, "Mom, look at this," and stuck out two of her fingers.

Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her fingers in my mouth and said, "Mommy is gonna eat your fingers!" pretending to eat them before I rushed out of the room again.

When I returned, my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face and tears down her face.

I said, "What's wrong honey?"

Sad and broken up she looked at me and said -
"Mommy, where's my booger?

Today I received a nice box in the mail:
Pair of candle holders that go on a wall, socks, incense, bath poof, bubble bath, and some items to be sure you look good for summer-razors, nail polish, nail decals/stickers, beach theme emery boards and sunblock. There were some white kitchen bags too. They might have been for cushioning I'm not sure but they look just like the kitchen bags I have so good gift even if they weren't supposed to be one.
Thank you SS.
