I've decided to share some of my research.
This particular model was manufactured by Sony in the year 2001.
It uses Digital8 tapes which can hold 1 hour of video. The downside of this format is the cost of tapes and the fact that it takes as much time as you recorded to transfer the video to a computer.
Digital8 camcorders weigh a lot more than modern camcorders.
Also, the cost of ownership for this camcorder is a lot as you have to invest in a power cord, battery, tapes, and shipping.
Hope this information helps someone.

Dude...that was pretty funny. It almost sounded like you were intentionally trying to discourage others from bidding so you could have it for yourself. I'm just saying. How about throwing in some of the positives about the camcorder if you're going to add some information? I've been a videographer for over 2 decades and ran camera at a TV Station that had shows broadcasted internationally on satellite. And I can say without a doubt this is a great standard definition camcorder.

It is a decent camcorder but doesn't compare to modern day camcorders. Also just trying to make people aware of the investments needed to be made in order to use it. I want to win it to transfer VHS tapes to DVD with the analog to digital conversion.
