The listing, Rose of Sharon & Morning Glory 50 Seeds has ended.
I have 50 seeds= 25 of morning glory and 25 of rose of sharon.
Rose of Sharon grows to approximately 8-12' tall and 6' wide, with a vase shape. This annual shrub is suitable for gardens in Zones 5-8. It is best to grow this shrub in full sun, though it can tolerate up to part shade. can be trained to have a single trunk, looking more like a tree. It can also be shaped into a hedge. The picture of the tree is mine and it is about 7 years old. They are purple and the leaves appear late in spring and the blooms do not show until later in summer. I say middle of July and bloom till the middle of Sept. If you have hot summers, you are in luck; Rose of Sharon actually prefers the heat, and will bloom better.
Morning glory are a dark purple annual and the flowers bloom from early summer to the first frost. Their big, fragrant, colorful flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It is a vine as you can see mine is growing on my deck. The vines grow quickly to 10 feet or more only two months after seeds sprout. The leaves are heart-shaped, and the flowers are normally open from dawn to mid-morning, but will stay open longer, especially on overcast days.
Morning glories will thrive in full sun in any soil , especially if it is not too fertile or too moist. Sow the seeds outdoors when all danger of frost has passed. Provide support. Because they grow by twining, they need extra help if planted around large posts. Plant morning glory 8 to 12 inches apart.
