The listing, OLD Stamped Silver Wedding Band - East European ** FREE Ship Anywhere with GIN *** has ended.

Just rec'd in a lot from Latvia - found during a dig is this stamped silver wedding band.
Large; approximately 10-11 and stamped on the OUTSIDE as shown in the pictures. Am not able to find any reference in the quick research I've done. If the winner of this ring does find anymore info I would love to hear about it!

There's a chance it could be Russian. I have a couple of old silver dessert spoons from there and they used the 84% silver a lot.

Possibly German. The 84 is the amount of silver. Maybe made from something else.
Interesting. Watching.

Thank you! And would you know why it would be stamped on the outside of the band?

Thats a tricky question. But I am going to a jeweler consignment shop today and I will ask.

After more research the MO could possibly indicate Italian descent as it would have been made in Modena Italy. When a dig occurs and articles are found, it does not always mean it is of that geographical area. People travelled, especially the Italians and vikings.

I'll let you know. This is an interesting subject for me.

Hmm... never thought of that. They do keep a majority of the items they find but like to share as well. :)
