It is an annual and native to the SW but can be grown anywhere. They are best known for attracting honey bees and hoverflies (they eat aphids). They're bell-shaped flowers in shades of blue and lavender with fern-like foliage. They can grow up to 48" tall. Planting instructions are: full sun, 1/4" deep in loose soil. Sow periodically through July for an extended nectar source.
