EXTREMELY RARE USA 2 CENT COIN FROM 1864!
These 2 Cent coins were only minted for a total of 10 years from 1864-1874. This is from the first year of the 2 Cent piece. Extremely rare collectible. Low mintage of 19,847,500!
Front of coin has a clear date a clear shield and the words "IN" and "GOD" can be seen.

Back shows a nice "2 CENTS" and shows "NITED" (missing the "U") "STATE" (missing the 2nd "S") and "MERICA" (missing the first "A"). The word "OF" can not be seen at all.

Small motto or large motto?

I'm not sure. Do you know how I can tell? I realize that if it's big it's worth about $30 and if it's small about $300 but I'm not sure how I can tell.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! That does help, but since front of coin motto isn't as clear as back it's still difficult to know. But, it seems that an integral point is that the large one has bold lettering while not so much in the large. I don't know, but it does seem that the letters are somewhat bold, but I can't be sure.

I most definitely is! Like I said before these were only minted for 10 years and this was the first year. Another thing that interests me is the idea of the value of a penny. They were minting two cent coins because a penny was worth a significant amount!
