Description
The listing, Poetry of the Great Poets "TRUTH IS BEAUTY" SHELLEY KEATS BYRON WORDSWORTH **free shipping ** poems has ended.
Please enlarge photos for a better description. Poems from several of the historical GREAT Poets of long ago. Etchings from the originals of London, England's great painter Turner. Please let me know if you have questions. Since I changed to Free shipping I had to increase starting bid. It's well worth it to anyone studying the Great Poets of yesterday. A lovely book a little worn but such a treasure that it only gives it character. Oh but to wonder the hands that have held these pages to read.....
Questions & Comments
Fanned, watching and bidding. I'm a published poet and "former" college librarian, so of course I swooned when I saw this listing. lol A couple of questions, if you please - how many pages in the book? Who is represented aside from Keats and Turner? Thank you.
61 pages. There's William Blake , William Wordsworth, George Gordon, Lord Byron, John Clare, Persy Bysshe Shelley, John Keats, Alfred, Lord Tennyson, and Matthew Arnold. Copyright 1967. Illustrated with etchings by J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851) recognized as England's finest painter.....enough to make you faint :)
I hadn't seen it until just now - thank you. I'm glad they added notifications on the site - otherwise, I wouldn't have known about your reply until I checked my email and I tend to do that later, as there are just too many to deal with when I first get online - and especially today - I was offline all of yesterday because of bad storms. I'm familiar with Turner's paintings and yes, they're quite lovely. I've read all of these poets except, perhaps, John Clare - the name does sound vaguely familiar, though, so I might have read something of his in an anthology instead of a book of his own. Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it immensely. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed now that several other people have discovered this listing and marked it. Thanks for offering such a high quality item to bid on. Have a great week!
