No, this runs on six (6) AA batteries. Never had rechargeable batteries for this. Happy Bidding..

man, will have to throw my game gear up here also. Nice credits. I got one guaranteed to work, missing the batt covers (ah well it's old) and only one game left which is the orginal Sonic for gamegear. Ah well, maybe I can get a bit of credits, not as much as yours I am sure.
