Description

The listing, Do Re-enacting? Got Money?????? has ended.

Do you do Civil War re-enacting?? What is the one thing NO reenactor seems to have? Why, it's money, of course! Seems to me that you should have the proper currency in your wallet!

Here is a bundle of cash for you - these are all reproductions made from REAL confederate currency! You will receive 5 of each - $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100. They will be in full color, properly sized and I will distress them (only slightly) so they don't look like they are 'fresh off of the presses'.

These ARE reproductions, and not original bills.

Under age 18?? PLEASE do not bid on my auctions.

At this point in my life, I can't afford to offer free shipping. If you are not willing to pay the shipping charge, do not bid. If you win and have not paid the shipping within 7 days, I'll relist and keep the credits. I'm NOT going to refund your credits if, after winning you decide: I don’t want it; I don’t want (or can’t afford) to pay the shipping charges. If you don't pay within that time frame, I'll block you from future auctions.

NOTE: Some people think since Listia doesn’t deal in 'real money', they don't have to take them seriously. Sorry, but these ARE 'real' auctions and if you can't/won't take them as such, don't bid on my listings. I ship the same day or the next one. If you sell, please ship promptly. It doesn’t hurt at all and will make your buyer happy. Ship through PayPal, get a lower price, get an automatic tracking number (come ON! You ship without a tracking number? Are you THAT naïve?) Shipping numbers help keep postal workers honest, too.

any chance you would part with an original?

The only one I would consider parting with is a $50 bill in delicate shape. It is real, and it LOOKS like it has been through a war.

does on bill come in two parts...white on one side?

Original
No, both sides are printed. I know a lot of Confederate currency was one side only, but I specifically chose bills that had two sides.

To tell you the truth, I forget to distress more often than I remember - so you'll be easy!

I'm not sure I want to get rid of it. It is history, you know? Even though it isn't really valuable (per the coin shop here in town), it is somehow exciting to hold and look it. Poor thing is so tattered. Over 150 years old.
