Description

The listing, U.S. Robotics 100mps 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card for Laptop Win 3.1 or 95 or Mac 1996 has ended.

This is a modem card for an older laptop. It wad made in 1996, and would plug into what was then called your expansion slot.

The card is a bit over 2 inches wide, and 5 inches long, do you have some idea what size expansion slot I am taking about. It was the standard size for several years. That the minimum requirement is a 386/33, with a 486 recommended, you have some idea of the vintage.

I am listing this because I know they're are some vintage gamers out there who can't stand the DOS emulators to play your favorite vintage games, and being able to hook onto your network would be sweet.

Or, you have this perfectly good old machine you want to install Linux on and use as a server for security. I have no idea if there are Linux drivers available, but if you are geek enough to set up a Linux server, you probably know if you can find drivers.

As for Windows and old Mac laptops with this type of expansion slot, they're are both a floppy and a CD of drivers.

This worked when we got rid of the old laptop we used it on, but I have no way to test it now. It has been attached to the CD holder, in a laptop case with a different, even older computer, in a closet for years, so I see no reason why it wouldn't still work.

I'm starting the bidding slow, and shipping is free, the modem is AS IS.

Thanks for taking the time to look!
