The listing, Vintage combo Cigarette Case & Lighter has ended.
Hi welcome to my auction: here is an old cigarette holder with a built in zippo style lighter combination. From the 40's era. This is in great shape. It is Chrome metal. Made by Evans, patent pending 80170, says Evans triga-lite on lighter bottom .No caps missing & No rust anywhere. Has a wick in the lighter. Will work with a flint & fluid... the front of the case has a place for a written monogram. Comes from a smoke free home...LOL... really... Thanks for looking, have a great day:)
Questions & Comments
i just want to say thankyou to all of my bidders for bidding, your awesome:):):)
Nor a zippo style lighter, that's known as an automatic style. I take it that this one does NOT spark as is? Does the spark wheel move freely when you press down on the button? Most often with old lighters, the flint corrodes in the tube. It can be extremely difficult to fix, or sometimes it's easy. I take it you have not actually put a flint in it? That would tell the tale. Oh well, it's all right as is, if the bidding doesn't get crazy.
it clicks like it wants to spark saw a small puff of smoke or dust...lol... but seems to move freely as one of these lighters should. Have never put a flint in it. this was my Grandfathers and it worked good for him.. thanks for the info. I am no expert on these...
If a flint is left in them too long, it always happens. How difficult it is depends on whether or not the flint tube is straight or curved. If they have to be taken apart to make the repair, it's the pits trying to get them back together. Very tiny parts and you need four hands it seems. If you or anyone else uses flints, always use Zippo brand flints. They're different, and don't corrode as easily. Sounds like this one might be all right. Nice item, not highly popular these days with everyone against smoking, but they're still interesting.
awesome , when i did smoke years ago, i smoked Native American Spirit ciggarettes, and i contribute the fact they contained no additives to help in the quitting process. they are not as addicting and taste awesome, highly recommend trying those.
non filters are actually best for you, and yes the pure stuff is much less harmful than the junked up stuff. You see, if you smoke filtered cigarettes, you draw harder, getting it deeper in your lungs, you get particles of the now artificial filters in your lungs, and the filters actually make the smoke more toxic. All filters really do is sell more cigarettes.
well, it looks like somebody wants this bad. Come on people bid it up, make whoever gets it spend a lot of points. I don't have enough to do battle, or I would.
