FREE SHIPPING!! $250 VALUE! These Gorgeous Vintage Earrings are from the 1930's and are so Unique! My 96 Year young Grandmother gave me these earrings amongst a TON of Vintage Jewelry. These were purchased in Paris France in 1946 just after the Allied Liberation of the French. My Grandfather who was in the Marines got them in a tiny little Jewelry Shoppe that had just reopened after rebuilding in Downtown Paris, France. He paid the equivalent of about $245 of "TODAY'S MONEY" back then almost 69 years ago and they were Antique then. Also, 69 years ago, $245 was a small fortune, especially in a country / city that had just been liberated and every cent people had was spent on food and clothing. Be Grandpa wasn't a local and was determined to bring Grandma home something Beautiful from France and he DID! He said the shoppe owner told him they were Austrian Lead Crystal Hand Carved Tear Drops To Look Like Faceted Diamonds. Boy they really do too! The owner told him they were designed and made by a very famous and popular Austrian Jewelry designer / maker and were in a jewelry line from about 1916 - 1920. Wow, talk about a famous time period in history. Anyway, they are 1 1/4" inches long and the widest part of the teardrop is 1/2" inch wide. They SPARKLE LIKE MADD!!! In any light. Pretty good for Lead Crystals that were hand cut almost 90 years ago. I really don't want to list them because they are so special, but my Grandma has given me a ton of he Vintage jewelry and every single piece has a little story that goes with it. She said listing them was OK, maybe another person can enjoy them for another 70 years or so.
