Description
The listing, RARE HEIRLOOM - Purple Tomatillo - 15 Seeds has ended.
This unusual deep purple tomatillo makes an ideal salsa with its sweet tart flavor. The plant has striking purple veins in the leaves, and the husks are light green to buff colored. Very decorative as a garnish.
Tomatillos are not self-pollinating like their tomato cousins. In order for the flowers to set fruit, you must grow at least 2 tomatillo plants. Pick the fruits when they fill out their husks and the husks just begin to split.
Listia verified shipping address required. Seeds will be sent First Class mail for FREE in the United States. I accept Paypal for international shipping.
Questions & Comments
Do you send instructions and can they also be planted in pots on Apt Patio? Thank you, Vickii
If you have a large patio, these can be grown in a VERY LARGE container (at least 15-20 gallon) container. They get big and bushy like a normal tomato plant. If you are looking to start a container garden but have a smaller patio, I recommend determinate, bush or dwarf type veggies (dwarf tomatoes, bush cucumbers, leafy greens, carrots, leeks, beets, radishes, bush beans, garlic, peppers, bush squash). Please let me know if I can be of further assistance! I believe everyone can and should grow a garden with whatever space they have!
