The listing, ****Unigue Vintage Smoky Quartz Ring**** has ended.

I bought this in an Estate sale 15 yrs ago and it is truly unique in its design.The stone is smoky quartz but I am unsure what it is set in. I looked through a 40x jewelers loupe and there is some lettering on the inside shank but it is under the roping and hard to read. I made out the letter W and what looked like GF so I will not speculate what metal that it is set in (it has a gold- brass tone to it.) This is a very lovely old ring. I do not know the exact age just that it is vintage.

*Please note that all jewelry items are listed to the best of my knowledge! I do not have the equipment to test anything, if it says 10k, 14kt, 18kt H.G.E, gold filled, sterling, 925 etc. that is what I go by. I only have a jeweler's loupe and what people tell me that I buy from. I do not misrepresent or mislead I only tell what I know!!*

YES, I Think It Is Made Of Brass Or Copper, that is about the only things that would turn it green, :)J

Could be I read that is common in brass. It is a beauty! I found more letters on the inside looks like KAM or K4M it is hard to see because it is under the roping of the ring but on the setting itself. Unusual to me. It has a victorian look to it ( I am not trying to date it, just stating the style of appearance in my opinion, probably 70's piece) :o)

I noticed the green build up also I was unsure what it was and decided to leave it. Does that indicate brass? I am curious; learning new things on here everyday and thanks for looking and commenting. :o)

I am unsure of the size but as it is now I am estimating size 8 but as you see in the photos the ring band does not meet so it is adjustable. I hope this is helpful to you and thank you for asking and looking :o)

Well to answer 100 % honestly! No, I am not sure that the stone is quartz but that is what I was told when it was purchased. I am not a gemologist or jeweler so I really can only base my information from the sellers I buy from or what a piece says in itself. I was told it was smoky quartz and it looks like it to me so I listed it as smoky quartz. I hope this helps you and thank you for looking and asking. :o)
