Welcome to the auction! Up for bid is pokemon silver version! I installed a brand new save battery(the silver gameboy advanced sp is just to show the game) so it plays and saves great! I'm an expert in the field of pokemon, and I collect tons of pokemon games, I have a few pokemon silvers laying around so I figured i'd sell one!

I list tons of pokemon games , ps3 games , ps4 games , pokemon cards , ds games , gameboy games ,3ds games , wii games , and nintendo systems! So check out my other auctions!

I know less than nothing about any of the games, systems or how the game "saves"... My grandsons have a GBA & we don't understand how the game cartridge " saves" and why would a "brand new battery save" be needed if it was just for the cartridge? That's all I'm asking... I've read the description 3x...thanks.

@puresong, Hi to answer your question, each cartridge comes with a battery in it to save the game. The game play is saved IN the cartridge, NOT the gameboy. Some of the batteries in the games die cause of the age of the cartridge, by getting a new battery in it (like in this cartridge) you know its going to last for 10+years. The seller is just saving u time and hassle, you get the game and you can start playing. You don't have to get the game, order a new battery on the side, open the cartridge, remove the battery and re solder the new one.(its a pain in the ***) hope this answered your question

Was it taped? Taping it destroys the insides sometime between 2-4 years.

Yes of course I installed it, and electrical tape is meant for this, I don't know what kind of tape you use

I use electrical tape, the problem is the eventually the residue will start to come off and get in the cartridge, it is especially bad when you replace it again. Now days I have a sotter I use for my gameboy games in need of a battery.
