The listing, Growing Up Autistic: The Introduction has ended.

This will provide you a copy of a free e-book to "Growing Up Autistic: The Introduction" by Amanda Jean. It can be in Epub, Mobi, or Adobe format. It will be sent via e-mail, as long as you provide an e-mail that is verified by Listia and do so within a week of the auction closing.

It is a book written by someone who has experienced autism personally and is a great read. Normally $1.50, I hope this will give someone the chance to read the start of a series of books.

This is a novella and this is the summary from amazon.com (I have permission from the author as I am the author to do this):

Imagine living in a foreign world where no one seems to speak the same language. Try imagining that everything seems out to get you. Now imagine that all this is real life. Welcome to the world of autism. Welcome to my world.

I grew up with autism and I feel like I had to fight my way to get to the level of normalcy I have. From everything I have read on the internet and in the libraries, the experts nor even those living with autism, really give people without autism a clear picture of the struggle of what growing up with autism is like.

This is not the whole story. This is just a first of what will be mini-glimpses into my world. I hope you take the time to read this and really give it some thought so you can understand what it’s like “Growing up Autistic”.

How wonderful this is, I so wish I could feel what my 4 yearold grandson goes through. everytime i am with him I try to put my self in his shoes. I really hope this can help my family have a better understanding of his needs.

This is why I write about my experiences...in order to help others know what it's like having autism and other issues. Hopefully soon, my memoir will be done and will be up on Amazon. My goal is to have that done by April in honor of Autism Awareness Month.
