@ ^^^ it goes like this...say the bidding starts at 100 and u put a bid in at 100 then someone else comes and puts a bid at 250...it's only gonna show 101but It's gonna keep saying you've been outbid until you go over what someone else said their max bid is... Get it? I know it's confusing sometimes =)
how do y'all set this on auto bid? some one has it set there is no way people sit up 24 hours a day to out bid someone. good Lucy girl but I don't see you getting any where near what this dress is worth because of selfish people that don't want to give anyone a chance. I have place 10 bids and will not bid again. it is a beautiful dress and would have made me a beautiful wedding dress but oh well!
This is a quote from the "how it works" option found at the bottom of pretty much any listia screen you're on: "Bidding System:
Listia uses a proxy bidding system similar to eBay. The way this system works is that the "current high bid" displayed is the second highest bid plus some increment. When the auction ends the highest bidder pays this price. This is the reason why you can be automatically outbid. It's because the high bidder may have bid something much higher than the displayed "current high bid", but it is not shown until the second highest bid increases." I don't mean to be a shmuck, I promise, but one should always learn a system and it's rules before jumping in an criticizing the way it works. There is no option to auto bid over someone. But only the second highest bid will show until it is raised.
