Isn't it cute!! But not as cute as my babies!! ;o)

Yes - I understand that! I have several that aren't too tame or friendly, but they are pretty old and I let them be. I wish I let them go a long time ago, when they were young squirrels! Now they are set in their ways. I have 2 flying squirrels and 13 adult grey squirrels that are my pets. I am raising 9 babies and hope to be able to release 7 of them soon! The other 2 may need to stay with me longer or forever (1 has no tail and 1 is so very small - she is just a little tiny baby!) I have a few that sit with me on my head or my shoulder or watch me use the laptop - they are really tame. But alas, having squirrels as pets is really difficult! They do bite (not my really tame ones luckily!) and they have sharp claws that they use to climb all over me and everything else! They also have a pretty strict diet, believe it or not! And they eat all the time!! They are really smart and can be so loving! But I would not recommend it unless they need lifelong care - they really do deserve to be free squirrels out in the wild! But I know that my babies will live long, healthy lives and never get hit by a car or shot! They just can't fly through the trees or forage and all that good squirrel stuff! ;o)

I know lots of people that have those! One friend even had a squirrel that she would let out during the daytime and he would come back when she called him to come in later in the evening! That would be cool! But I would worry about him still... ;o)
