Description

The listing, Beautiful Heirloom ~ Variegated Fish Pepper has ended.

Bakercreek states; "80 days. An African-American heirloom popular in the Philadelphia/Baltimore region. A pre-1947 variety that was used in fish and shellfish cookery. The color of the fruit range from green, orange, brown, white and red, being spicy and hot. What really makes this pepper stand out is its wonderful foliage, as the 2-feet tall plants have stunning white and green mottled leaves, which makes this variety superb for ornamental and edible landscaping."

Seeds were collected from mature RIPE pods and with some isolation of about 30' to protect from wind pollination. Though they are self-pollinating, also plant with flower barriers to attract insects away (as crossing with other peppers can occur).

Plants can be overwintered on pots -- used like house plants. Also can be propagated by cuttings.

10 seeds.

I consider reasonable GIN offers.

BEWARE ROSE SEEDS! There's GOOD reasons why rose seeds AREN'T sold in big garden centers. More info here; http://goo.gl/0UJZry
Beware home collected seeds from hybrid plants. They're no longer the same variety. Ask questions. Research >reliable< sources.
Beware! "GREEN" bell peppers are UNRIPE bell peppers & aren't likely to provide VIABLE seeds. Very few varieties ripen to green. Same for GREEN Jalapeno & most other pepper varieties. It only take minutes to check the variety & discover the color of the RIPE pepper.
Beware "Bonsai" seeds are misleading! http://www.bonsai4me.com/Basics/Basics_Seeds.html
Apple seeds? *smh* If you would like more info on seed scams, please ask.

Not as hot as a hab.

Most all peppers start green. But they don't stay green if allowed to ripen. It's an easy researchable fact.
