Yup, we arrived in Maryland a month ago, after three weeks of h*ll packing and getting the house ready for sale. Since then we've been fixing up our house here. We finally have drinkable water ... thanks to a softener and RO system. I bought new appliances for this house using the Amazon gift codes I accumulate on Listia, pretty sweet!

Yup, I'm pleased as punch that I could buy those appliances now rather than waiting or making my husband mad as a hornet spending all that money. I've been buying all sorts of stuff I need with Amazon, and trying to win as many as I can!

how are they delivered? isn't that expensive? Just small things I've gotten there have expensive delivery.

Each appliance has a stated delivery charge. The fridge was only $79 but I think the range was $120 or something in that range. The cost of the appliances was very competitive ... I might have been able to find them cheaper, but not much cheaper. The thing is, I'm buying them with Listia gift cards that I earned for about a third of what I paid ... so I basically got my appliances for about a third of what they cost. They arrived within about five days, and it went very smoothly. I'm very happy with the sellers I used on Amazon.

that's great. We had to get a new dishwasher and stove this year. Waiting on the refrigerator. Used our tax money for those, so that was nice. Hate to buy things like that, lol

I usually buy things that are available via Amazon 'prime" which is free shipping. Usually if you compare the cost of those to the cost of buying the same item from another seller WITH shipping, it's usually about the same or even a little less from the Amazon direct seller. You have to watch that when you buy on Amazon, I always try to choose an item or seller that has free shipping.

I could have bought appliances that were free shipping, but they had a very limited selection of those. I had to buy a fridge that fit in a smallish space, so that was a bit of a challenge using Amazon, but I got a Frigidaire brand (mid range, not super expensive) and it's fine. The range I got a Maytag. I was trying to decide between one with a double oven, but I'd almost never use a double oven so I got one with other features I wanted more.
