Listed for your Bidding Consideration, is this Police uniform shoulder patch from The Canadian National Railway Police.

This patch is Used (Has been worn on Uniform), but is in Excellent condition. The back of the patch is seal coated with plastic.

It is 4 1/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches wide (at the widest point). In the center of the patch is displayed a Colorful and Unique U.S. Eagle, to indicate that this patch was to be worn by a Railroad Police officer working in the United States for the CN Railway.

Canadian National Railway Police Service (CN Rail)

CN Rail was a Crown Corporation until 1995 when it was privatized by the federal government. As such, the CNR Police Service is now a private police service enforcing all criminal and provincial laws on properties owned, operated and administered by Canadian National (CN). CN has rail lines in Canada and the United States including some of the lines used by the Government of Ontario Transit (GO Transit) throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA.) Due to this privatization the service had a reduction in manpower as it had become a tax paying corporation thereby entitling CN to the municipal and provincial policing efforts already established across the nation. The Service has been in existance since 1923. In 2005 the BC Rail Police Service amalgamated with the CN Police to fall in line with that rail merger. In the US the Illinois Central Railroad Police, Grand Trunk Railway Police, Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Police, and Wisconsin Central Transportation Police also amalgamated into the CN Police Service.
