tammydermott ; This antenna can be used by itself if you have an HDTV. which are the flat style TV's you see in the stores.

If you have the older style regular TV then you use it WITH a converter box.

Thanks would it be like having a dish? Did you like it? Sorry to keep bugging you but this thing its pretty cool. One last question why are you getting rid of it. There are all kinds of new gadgets anything to save a little money dish is expensive. Thanks Tammy :0)

No it is not like Dish. I did have dish and now that I am on a fixed income I couldn't afford it.. I have also had cable. I use Antenna's now and Hulu Plus + on my Wii with WiFi connection.
I am not a big TV watcher and most of the shows I watch are on CBS.

The Antenna works just like when I was growing up BEFORE cable and satellite.
You can receive local broadcast stations which may include major free broadcast stations such as ABC ,CBS, NBC, FOX etc. depending upon how far they are away from you and were you position the antenna.
