thank you.I have had it for a while.I think I got it at a yard sale, but I dont remeber,I have other pieces I will be listing that are also pretty rare.Im going to try and list these in a way that people can have time to collect credits.the next piece is a very expensive one.I will list it in about a week.
I've never seen Satsuma that was actually marked Satsuma ! That's a new one on me! Mine are very old antique pieces though , is this modern? It's very pretty, interesting shape!
I have only seen one other one on ebay, but it was some time ago.it was colbalt blue also with gold leaf, but a diferent style vase, have'nt seen any since then.its not modern, there would be more of them around.thank you for your intrest,,and thanks for watching.
I just saw one on another site with Satsuma written on it , but it says it's Chinese! Lol! (Satsuma is Japanese! ) That one wasn't written like yours it was Like a typed style with a box drawn around it. , What I like about yours is the shape and "Fish scales " Very different!
Ive never seen any other markings. When you said something about fish scales,I went and rubbed my fingers over it and it does feel like a scaley fish,I geuss its because of the gold that outlines the scales.
