Description
The listing, Box of Old Recipes! Vintage! Comment to Reveal has ended.
I have a rusty old box packed full of old recipes! This is for the recipes only. I will not be shipping the box. Some of the recipes are handwritten and some are cutout. I took a pic of a Banana Bread recipe that was handwritten and a brownie recipe from Borden. If you are interested just leave a comment and I will reply with the name of a recipe that is included in the box. Just to clarify... By bidding you get them all but by commenting you can find out what you will be getting. :)
Not too sure on exact age age. There appears to be a range. I flipped through a handful and found dates on a few (1968, 1982, 1981, 1978, 1953 and1974) Looks like a collection over the years. It also seems like the handwritten ones were done by different people (friends recipes?).
I found recipes for Orange Alaska Chiffon Cake (handwritten) and Peanutty Pops (on a Knox wrapper)
Found a PET recipe handout with "Perfect Pumpkin Pie" on one side and "Fabulous Fudge" on the other. Also found a handwritten recipe for "One Bowl Dinner Rolls"
I love old recipes too. I have a collection of old cookbooks. :)
Found a magazine clipping for Hot Curried Crabmeat Dip and a handwritten recipe for "Magic-Cookies" (this looks really easy and interesting... Might have to make this tomorrow... lol!)
I am so into this auction what a great idea. I have thousands of clipped out recipes from my aunts that have passed. I may have to bundle some, to share the joy!
Found an old magazine page with the following recipes: Amish Oatmeal Cookies, Heritage Dutch Apple Pie, Grandmom's Apricot Squares and Heirloom Raisin Muffins.
Fanned you!! I love recipes SO much I've actually put together my own book and have sold it since last Christmas! I woud LOVE to get my mitts on this collection, the best recipes are the ones clipped, saved and cherished...and the more stained the more loved!
As a total history buff, I love making old recipes to try at home. This sounds like it's chock full of vintage yummies! Great auction, fanned and watching for sure!
Found a newspaper cutout with the following recipes: "Peanut Butter Cookies," Chocolate Chip Cookies," "Eggless, Milkless Spice Cake," and "Gold Layer Cake" Yum Yum Yum!!!
Found a newspaper clipping with the following recipes: "Cabbage Rolls with Dumpling Noodles," "Cabbage Moussaka," Oriental Cabbage," "Red Cabbage Seville," "Cream Sauce Topping," "Fresh Cabbage with Raisins" and "Dunking Bread"
