The difficulty level is that of "EASY" so, it is appropriate for children 6 years and older. The way the set looks to me (as I have not had one of my own before) looks kind of like a combination of Lego's and an Erector Set (if you remember those......am I dating myself here? bahahahahh!) if that makes any sense?
