The box needed a little tape too! I never used the mini pink cloth that is included. It's meant to be used to clean the saliva off of the lens, but I used toilet paper each time. I sanitized the entire device. I used to use it every single morning a week or two before my cycle would begin. It's amazing! The ferning is so beautiful. Ferning?
