“In order to provide a 5-cent piece of a more manageable size, and 'because nickel is essentially a Canadian metal' the Canadian government introduced a coin of pure nickel in 1922, similar in size to the 5-cent coins of the United States.” CoC 2014
The winner of this auction will receive a total of three (3) Canadian 'George V' 5-cent (nickel) coins in circulated condition - one (1) 1929, one (1) 1931, and one (1) 1934. These coins have a metal composition of .99 nickel; diameter of 21.21mm; weight 5.44 grams and mintages of 1929 – 5,562,000, 1931 – 5,101,000 and 1934 – 3,827,000.
PLEASE NOTE – These coins are in circulated condition – please refer to photos, but grading is About Good to Good condition - you will receive the exact coins shown in the photographs. Coin easels NOT included.
