I have had an opened package of these just sitting in my closet for a while. I showed the backside so you can see the unpeeled sticky tape to hang it with.

Place it in a dark spot in your closet or under a cabinet, desk, etc... where it is inconvenient to wire in a light.

(Note: I tried putting it near my front door for a light to stick the key in by when we forgot to leave the light on. The tape wouldn't hold outdoors when it got cold. If you want to use the tape for sticking it to something, you should probably use it indoors only.)
