No offense to you,and I truely thank you for the positve feedback, reall!! I just get tired of answering the same questions over and over again, they become repetative. I feel sure your not going to bid, right. I have said two or three times. I can not see any markingsand I have misplaced my jewlers loop . Iit has so much filigree that it would even be hard to tell with a loop. The chain has nothing on it, but then again I don't know if the chain came with the necklace. I have sold this on Ebay before and never had ANY problems with it.In fact more questions asked here than on Ebay and it cost $$$ on ebay, Go figure. Enjoy, have fun bidding and getting new things for free. Don't make it a chore for those of us who sell alot. I bring a lot of my Ebay products over here so that people can have the same opportunity as someone bidding real cash. I have sold some thing have have cost $100's. I will be more than happy to stop selling if it is always going to be the third degree. I am sorry but I am tired of trying to defend my self. I'm an easy going person, but can only be pushed and proded so much. If you in your heart believe it is not Vermeil, then by all means believe that and please do not bid.
pretty sad of you to dis jsmedley vasmith_1, when you just won a vermeil ring from her recently...obviously you like her jewelry, or you wouldn't have bidded...grow up and put your big boy/girl pants on!
I won that ring from her, found it is not vermeil, there were no markings anywhere on it and had a stone missing! I gave her positive feedback because she returned my credits for it! I've been involved in the jewelry market for over 20 years... just trying to get HONEST answer!
No offense to you,Jackie but...being involved in the jewelry market you should know if it isn't marked at least 925,it is not vermeil! any reputable jeweler will tell you this and you should know that! I don't care if I'm paying cash, credits,or if it's totally free..I'm just asking that items be listed Honestly! I'm sorry if that offends you,has nothing to do with my heart Jackie, just years of knowledge and experience. If it isn't marked ,it shouldn't be listed as something if you are not sure that it is what you say it is...then you don't have to defend yourself! These are questions I ask of every item that I bid on...from any seller...so I am not picking on you ,or trying,to DIS you, I simply want to know what I'm bidding on!
I used to sell vermeil jewelry at Macy's, and frankly half were marked and half weren't! If a piece has alot of fine detail, there isn't space for the stamp. Geez!
If you worked in Macy's jewelry dept. you also know that Macy's buyers also had to verify that the pieces they were buying were vermeil and had to have documentation as such...that had to be provided for inspection upon customers request! or maybe you didn't know that!
