3 sample colors real human hair with clips from proextensions.com:
#6 golden brown
#8 light brown
#4/27 chocolate brown/dark golden blonde

I purchased these from pro-extensions and ended up getting chocolate brown #4 since the brown part of the #4/27 matched perfectly. I never wore or used them except to see what color matched. I wrote the numbers on the back of the clips to tell which is which.

These are great if you are unsure which color to get. Cost $3.99 each on the website. These have the clips if you want to wear them and measure about 9-10 inches long (website says they are like 6inches long).

They are 1.5 inches wide at the top and I'm pretty sure dying them darker won't hurt them. You can also use heat on them like a straightener. You can look up proextensions FAQ about dying them and it says: Yes. However, this is not a process we guarantee. Often the texture will change a little when the hair color is dyed. The extensions have already been dyed once to obtain the initial color. They are also coated with a protein by our manufacturer. The protein coating enhances the texture of the human hair and also increases the life of your hair extensions. Many people do it and have great results. We provide tester pieces in the sets for you to practice with before dying the entire set. We always recommend you have the extensions colored by a professional.
