2. Marble Arch in London. This arch at the Oxford Street end of Hyde Park stands near Tyburn,the site of many executions between the 12th and 18th centuries. The Arch was designed by Nash for Buckingham Palace to commemorate the victory over Napoleon, but was moved to Hyde Park in 1851.
