This type of doll is so cute. I remember making my first one by accident. I was at the ceramic shop making a porcelain doll. I remember because it was when 9/11/01 happened) When it came out of the kiln, there was a crack in the neck! I was mortified! Tears welled up in my eyes and my instructor quickly said, that's ok. We will make her just a little different.

She told me to take the head and find a stuffed animal that the head would fit in. I found one at home and after she was all china painted, and eyelashed we tore the face out of the stuffed animal and replaced it with the head!

Problem solved!!!!!! She turned out just beautifully!!!!!!!

Then all I had to do was make another head to go with the body that belonged to the first head!!! AND that turned out great! I didn't break it! (porcelain is not very forgiving!) I still have both dolls!!
