This is a gently used Downy Ball for fabric softener.

My mother moved in with us and doesn't need this any more. She is enjoying watching me use Listia and gave this to me to put up for auction. (Someone else had one so I figured, "Why not give it a try!")

How to Use

All you have to do to enjoy the convenience of our Downy Ball is pour the Downy fabric softener of your choice up to the right fill line in your Downy bottle cap, seal it, and drop it in at the start of the wash on top of your fabrics.

How it works

The Downy Ball time-releases Downy automatically. So your clothes feel the wonders of your favorite Downy fabric softener and you feel more carefree.

During the wash cycle, the Downy Ball floats on top of the water. Just before the rinse cycle begins, the washer's spinning motion opens the Downy Ball automatically releasing the fabric softener in the rinse cycle."

Note:
There are comments on their website about using it in your HE machines. Downy states that it should not be used in this kind of machine. However, a customer review says that they have a setting on the newest HE machines that does allow for a Downy ball. So, unless you have a "old-age" HE, I guess it is okay.
