It is plated with real sterling silver and stamped 925 for the outer layer.
I can't tell you how often I see people selling stamped sterling silver rings, but fail to mention in the auction details that it isn't solid silver.
At least I'm honest enough to do that. Still a beautiful ring though and if you read tips online about how to care for it, it will stay beautiful for years.
