I will consider lowering it to 5 days! Thank you for your interest! My kids and I have grown these before and they are really fun to watch, and once you "grow" it, it stays in crystal form....really fun item, and definitely a hands-on learning activity. As I said before, this kit is one that has NOT been used

How fast does it grow?

It takes about two weeks for it to grow completely. The mixing and prep work just takes a few minutes, then you seal it in a clear box (included in the set) and watch it grow a little every day! Small children will definitely need supervision while doing this, but will enjoy watching it grow. My kids loved theirs!
