Description

The listing, SECURE 2GB Thumbdrive/flash drive has ended.

OK, I have another awesome drive for you guys. This is the Kingston DataTraveler BlackBox 2GB secure thumbdrive. Much like the last drive that I put up here this one is FIPS140-2 compliant which means it features a 256-bit, hardware encrypted drive. That means unlike most other encrypted drives you can't just format the drive and use it however you want. If you don't have the password you aren't doing anything with this drive. It's made out of a rugged titanium coated, stainless steel casing and is waterproof up to 4 feet. So unless you are drinking the words largest Mt. Dew, if it falls in you are still good to go. I would probably wash it off after the fact to get all the stick off though. :) One really super cool thing about this drive is that it is protected against brute force attacks. After 10 consecutive wrong attacks, the drive will shut down. After the drive shuts down it will format so that your personal information cannot be viewed by any potential intruders. It's very James Bond-ish if you ask me. Once the format is complete you will be able to start over from scratch and setup a new password (or your old one if you remembered all of a sudden) and put information back on the drive. This drive does NOT require admin privileges to setup or use which is pretty awesome of you want to use it at work.

When you get the drive you will have to auto run the drive, click forget password, then format and setup your new password.

Retail value is about $75

This is a 3 day auction, good luck and have fun!

I could tell ya but I would have to kill ya. :) Are you looking for secure or non secure?

Lol. Preferably a secured one but if you have non-secured that will be fine too. :)

Well the closest I have in my stash is an 8GB non-secure. I could set it up with software based security but it doesn't take much to bust through that to be honest.

Just a heads up, I will have movie tickets coming up soon! Gonna celebrate my trusted seller badge when I get it!

How do you guys feel about these secure drives? Should I continue them or would you prefer a standard thumb drive? What else might you want to see me list here?

I didn't have plans to put it on or not. I reckon I can throw it up there though. I will need maybe about an hour to setup my mini studio for pics.
