Ooo LaLa...how scrumptious would it be to have a garden scented in the sweet smell of Chocolate with just a hint of vanilla?

Mother Nature, in her profound wisdom, has seen fit to create a rare vine that produces masses of intricately designed Chocolate color flowers that also smell like Chocolate! How fabulous is that?

Chocolate vine grows an edible fruit with a sweet tapioca like pulp. In Japan, the rind is used as a vegetable and stuffed with rice and meats and then deep fried. To produce fruit, you will need to grow a second species from the Akebia family for cross-pollination. The leaves from Chocolate Vine are used to make a tea.

It says, "To produce fruit, you will need to grow a second species from the Akebia family for cross-pollination." Does that mean if you plant 2 of these, you can get fruit from them? Or does it have to be a different type all together?

Oh how cool! I NEED this! If my garden smelled like chocolate, I don't think I could ever leave! Lol! Right now I'm growing catnip and Every time I go check on it, I have to chase away cats. ( well actually they just run away!). What do you think would run away if I grew these? Lol! The PMS plant! Lol! Great listing as always! :))
