The listing, Lane Cedar Chest Salesman Samples (2) has ended.

These chest samples make the perfect little craft boxes; for decorating, organizing or gift giving. They are so cute, you can't help but fall in love with them. They are both vintage boxes with no keys available.

The first box, on the left, is 9" long by 3.5" tall by 5" deep. It is from Ditmar's Furniture Company in Grand Rapids, MI. There is some glue inside the bottom portion where padding and fabric had been, but it could be sanded down and removed quite easily.

The second chest, on the right, is 9" long by 4" tall by 4.5 " deep. It is from Altavista, VA. There are some pin holes on the inside of the lid that are tiny, but slightly noticeable. Otherwise, each of these boxes are in good condition, and they are begging to go to a new home where someone can use them.

Is there access to the lock on the back of the lid front - can the lock be rekeyed in that way?

The lock can be accessed from the inside, so I believe that they could be rekeyed rather easily; however, I think that the locking mechanism is very generic and could be opened with a very simple, small key that would be relatively easy to come by.
