the phone works, but the ESN isnt clear. they said it isnt stolen, it just has a pastdue bill attached to it so it cannot be activated without paying the bill that is attached.. it was a verizon phone

READ people READ. Wow. Listia is the worst for not reading an ad. Im guessing ebay is probably the same, but theres no comments section like there is here so we never know till they ask for a return, which is happening in 3 out of every 10 auctions on ebay right now. This probably explains why theres so many returns though, no one READS an ad. Hello? Its even in the damn TITLE! Iggnorance is no excuse for stupidity.

When they say it does not have a clear esn (electronic serial number) that means that because of the past due bill Verizon has put into their computer system that specific serial number can NOT be activated until the past due bill is paid.

What this buyer means is whoever had the phone before did NOT pay the bill on it. So the only way you could get the phone activated is if you were to pay off the bill that is owed on the previous account which as they said is several hundred dollars. So, this phone is only good to use for parts to fix other phones of the same model. Also it can NOT be activated for prepaid either.
